2. Mains Examination (Merit-Contributing Stage)

The Mains paper consists of nine papers, out of which seven can be considered for the total merit.

3. Personality Test (Interview Round)

The last stage of evaluation of a candidate’s suitability for administration positions is the final. 

Confidence and communication, Decision-making ability, Ethical judgment, Leadership qualities, Awareness of current affairs are the main factors assessed. 

The marks from this round are combined with the Mains to produce the final civil service score, which in turn determines the rank.
